Mindfulness for Life with Lynne Roberts

Overlooking the sea at Preston Sands is a perfect location to learn and develop a mindfulness practice. Join our experienced mindfulness teacher for a 3-day introduction and leave us with a sustainable routine designed to enrich and support a busy lifestyle. This course is suitable for beginners and more experienced participants. You will explore a range of different techniques. There will also be time to discover the area, walk, relax, enjoy a therapy and connect with like-minded people. Our Community Café serves a range of local, Fair Trade or organic produce with vegetarian, vegan and ethically produced meat options.

Lynne was a chartered physiotherapist for 30 years. She has been teaching mindfulness courses for 15 years, offering courses for the NHS, schools, business and within the general community. She teaches the full range of mindfulness practices and specializes in helping people to live well with physical pain.
Lynne trained at Bangor and Exeter university, is an accredited Breathworks teacher and completed training with Mindfulness in Schools Project. She is on the UK listing of Mindfulness Based Teachers meeting and maintaining the UK Good Practice Guidance.

Day 1
. Arrival after 3pm. Time to settle into your room, breathe a sigh of relief – you’re on 
holiday at last! If you’re early there will be time to explore and soak up the sea air before we get together in the community room for tea and introductions at 5pm.

Supper will be served at 6.00pm with the first mindfulness session from 7.30 – 9pm

Day 2
 and 3 start with an optional 30 minute wake-up session from 7.30 – 8.00am. When conditions are right this sometimes includes mindful walking on the beach.
Breakfast overlooking the bay, will be served in the Kinda Kafe between 8.00 and 9.00am. Choose from a selection of healthy options.
We’ll meet at 10am for a 2 – hour mindfulness session in the community room where your teacher will lead and guide you through a variety of exercises and practices. Each day will explore a different emphasis. Afterwards, the day is your own to discover the area; indulge in a treatment or therapy here at the hotel or simply relax however you please. We have a menu of local attractions and activities to whet your appetite.
Our pre-supper mindfulness session will be from 5. 45 – 6. 45pm before supper at 7.00pm.
Our community room or our Cafe is a great place to relax, socialize or just enjoy the sea views in the evening. We have assorted books, films and resources and a share-a-book library for you to enjoy while you are here.

Day 4 follows the same pattern as days 2 and 3 with a closing meditation from 11.30, feedback and a farewell lunch at the Kinda Kafe.
